Janelle shines at the Amy's stage

This 25 years old American singer is an amazing revelation of soul music opening the concert of Amy Winehouse. Those who arrived early for the Amy Winehouse concert in Florianopolis or Rio shouldn't have complained for the fact Amy have been on stage for a little more than an hour. The American singer Janelle Monáe worths the ticket price.

Revelation of soul music, Janelle is the daughter of a drug addict and a housekeeper and was born in Kansas City in the USA. On his debut album, The Archandroid, already launched in Brazil, she mixes everything in order to make the listener dance. There are influences of Soul, R&B and Rock.

The singer, co-signed 16 of the 18 tracks. "Cold War" and "Wondaland" are among them and these tracks are powerful, good for the tracks. "Come Alive (The War of the Roses)" is not far behind.

Her music offers special features, something common in the music industry today. The American band "Of Montreal", who played in Sao Paulo on festival Planeta Terra last November, cooperate on "Make the Bus." "Tightrope" has the presence of Big Boi of Outkast. One of her producers is Sean "Diddy" Combs, who used his artistic flair to find out the talent of Janelle, three years ago.

Alive
To bring the music to the stage, Janelle Monáe performs in that performance has been compared to Michael Jackson, the similarity of some dance steps. Another reference is the singer Grace Jones, star of 1970s pop music, which seems to have inspired the look of the young revelation. More than enough reasons to go to Anhembi on Saturday or just listen to The Archandroid album.
