Be aware: Daylight Savings Time starts on October 21st in Brazil

This Sunday, set up your watch an hour ahead
The Brazilian Daylight Savings Time (DST) of 2012 will be from October 21st (Sunday) at 0h01am to February 26th 2012 at 0am.

The time changes are adjusted to achieve longer evening daylight, by setting the clocks an hour ahead of the Brazilian standard time (GMT -3). Be aware about flight schedules and buses departures.

The time changes are only applied to the states of Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina, Parana, Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Espirito Santo, Minas Gerais, Goias, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul and Distrito Federal. The Daylight Savings Time occurs in Brazil since 1932.
