Red Trilogy: a photographic exhibition about China

The photography exhibition "The Red Trilogy: China" will be on display until July 3rd at the Pinacoteca do Estado, and admission is free on Saturdays. The exhibition features 65 black and white photos from Mauricio Nahas, Paul Mancini and Ricardo Barcellos.

There are pictures of religious scenes and of everyday Chinese life. The photos were taken over the course of 40 days in the cities of Beijing and Shanghai, as well as in other small cities and provinces scattered throughout China.

On top of the pictures from China, the event also features pictures taken in Russia and Cuba – they are all still part of the "Red Trilogy" project, which started in 2005 at the Pinacoteca do Estado.
