Tzong Kwan: a Buddhist Temple in Sao Paulo

In the neighborhood of Vila Mariana you can find the Buddhist temple Tzong Kwan, a true work of art. Crossing the entrance iron gate you will be entering a place of peace and well being. This is one of the hundreds secret places Sao Paulo can offer you.

In the temple there are numerous images of Buddha, all brought from China, together with bells, incense and lamps.

During the week, the temple is open to visitors. On Saturdays meditations and lecture sessions take place from 18h to 19h30. On Sundays explanations of the sutra in both in Portuguese and Chinese begin at 9h30

  1. This temple is amazing. If I didn't know it, I would never enter in this place. The building is very discrete. People there are very kind.

    Good advice!
