Live TV inside buses in Sao Paulo

The City Council has authorized the broadcasting of live TV inside 15 thousand buses in Sao Paulo.

In 30 days the Globo Channel will try to live broadcasting News, Sports and old chapters of Soap Opera.

In Sao Paulo there are already 900 buses with TVs, which Globo Channel broadcasts to 300 through Bus Media Company. In partnership with the Bandeirantes Channel, the company TVO has 500 buses. There is also a programming company Bus TV reaching about hundred buses.

By this new law, 30% of programming must be institutional message, educational and issues related with public interests. The programming schedule will be supervised by SPTrans (Government Department). For each ad displayed, the bus companies will have a value of seven tickets profit.

The audio can be heard by headset via Bluetooth or radio frequency.
